Season Championship Night Saturday, August 31st 5 p.m. start time

The 2013 point season is coming down to an end this coming Saturday night as Martin Brothers Chevrolet presents the Budweiser Season Championships featuring a night of 50’s. The Getzoni Agency Pro Modifieds, McClurg Auto Group Late Models, Bank of Holland Chargers and Hornets will all be racing in 50 lap specials. The M&M U Pull It Figure 8’s, NYPAMA TQ Midgets and the Street Stocks will all be in action. Also on the card will be a scheduled appearance by the Cup Lite Series.

Coming into Season Championships, Eden, NY pilot George Skora III has a 52 point advantage over Dave Catalano. Tommy Catalano, Amy Catalano and Jeff Brown are your top five in Pro Modified points. In the Late Models, Cuba, NY racer Brandon Glover has a six point margin over Eldon King III. In the Hornets, Dice Racing teammates Ben Russo and Jeff Szafraniec are tied for first in the standings with 309 markers. Multi-time feature winner Chris Powers is third in points just 28 points behind the lead duo.

Pit Gates will open at 2:30 pm and grandstand gates will swing open at 4:45pm. Qualifying will begin at 5:00 pm and NASCAR feature racing will begin immediately following qualifying heats. Adult admission is just $16 while students (ages 8-15) are just $8. Children seven and under are ALWAYS FREE. Family Passes are also available for just $40 which includes two adults and all children 15 and under living in the same household. Last Saturday night, George Skora III continued his winning ways after taking another checkered flag in the Pro Modifieds on Pizza Hut, Duplicating Consultants, 97 Rock, UPS and American Red Cross Night at the races on a gorgeous Saturday evening in the Holland hills. Other winners included Eldon King III in the McClurg Auto Group Late Models, Dave Wollaber in the NYPAMA TQ Midgets. Chris Powers took home his second straight Hornets victory and the “Dice Man” Bill Lutz won the M&M U Pull It- Figure 8 car victory. Terry Weldy was victorious in the first visit of the season for the Street Stocks. The Bank of Holland Chargers finish was under official review.
