Holland Motorsports Complex 2013 season
Management and officials of the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex would like to announce they will be having a car show the weekend of April 25-28 at Eastern Hills Mall in Williamsville, NY. The show will be taking place during the mall’s regular store hours. Cars will be entering the popular Northtown mall on Wednesday, April 24 and will go out on Sunday, April 28.
“We are excited about bringing a car show to Eastern Hills” says Holland’s Director of Public and Media Relations Steven Petty. Each driver registered will be given bonus points to help their quest to win a track title at the end of the 2013 racing season. “Those bonus points can be huge towards the end of the season” Petty continued. “The last few seasons have seen points battles come down to just a couple of points and having the car in the mall shows can either give you that bonus to win the track championship” Petty added. While supplies last during the show, Holland will be giving away $5 admission tickets valid through Saturday, June 1.
At the show, you will see cars representing each division that Holland has to offer. The open-wheeled Pro Modifieds is the speedway’s premier division. The Late Models are stock cars with an after-market body that resembles the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars. The Chargers are stock cars that have a V-8 engine under the hood while the Hornets are stock 4-cylinder racers. The Figure 8’s are 4-cylinder cars that race on the track’s Figure 8 course and according to Petty, “the Figure 8’s bring the daredevils on to the track”. The TQ Midgets are three-quarter sized open-wheeled racers and the Cup Lites are half-scaled cars that has paint schemes that resembles the Sprint Cup cars of today.
